Whether you are moving out of the country or returning from an overseas stay, you need to move your auto, too.

The moving process is hard enough when it’s just across town or across the state. Planning and packing, deciding what to take and what to leave behind, can really keep you on your toes. It’s always stressful to move to a new home in a new neighborhood.

But the process gets much more complicated when you’re moving to a new country, maybe one with a new language, a new climate and a different time zone! Even if you’re moving back to the states after a foreign assignment, there’s so much to do, and it can seem just as complicated as it was when you first relocated abroad.

Let us transport your car, truck, or family auto to your new overseas home.

It doesn’t matter where you’re going or what kind of vehicle you’re taking with you. Our knowledgeable and courteous team will guide you every step of the way.

We streamline the shipping process for you, from paperwork to pick-up.

The vehicle export and import process to and from the United States

Please be prepared to provide all commercial invoices and receipts for any new merchandise in your international vehicle shipment, as foreign governments will often impose duties on your property.

We can handle the international vehicle shipping paperwork for you.

ShipMyVehicle.com and our partners can manage your export documents as well as your inbound customs clearance process. If you have a freight forwarder you’ve worked with in the past to handle these papers and processes, you may use them instead. In addition to all commercial invoices, you will need to submit the signed export instructions.

Destination and importation charges for shipped vehicles

Our partners strive to inform you of all potential charges you may face, including any destination and importation charges accrued through the port of destination. Since those charges are often in flux and ultimately the cargo owner’s responsibility, we recommend that you double check with the consulate of the foreign government to which you are shipping, or from which you are receiving. Contact them in advance of your shipment so that they can alert you to any applicable levies or restrictions.

Additional resources for transporting your vehicle internationally

The Bureau of Consular Affairs at the US Department of State maintains a list of major embassies and consulates where you can get further information on duties and policies that may affect your international vehicle shipment.
